In 2024, Poland delights residents and visitors with a variety of wine festivals. These themed events offer an opportunity to explore the history of Polish winemaking, discover top regional producers, and savor new and exciting flavors. Here's a roundup of the most intriguing wine events you shouldn't miss this season.

Flow Fest Dni Wina w Jaśle Winiarze i Przyjaciele Winobranie Święto Młodego Wina

Flow Fest (Wrocław, August 23-25)

The Lower Silesian Wine Festival will be part of the "Gastro Miasto" event in Wrocław. Over the weekend, local wineries will showcase their best wines at exhibition stands. Noteworthy are the guided wine tastings conducted by experts during scenic boat trips on the Oder River. Additionally, this year’s event includes a tasting breakfast featuring regional wines and dishes from Gastro Miasto.

Dni Wina w Jaśle (Jasło, August 23-25)

The festival in Jasło highlights the finest wines from the Podkarpacie region. Attendees can enjoy various workshops, winery tours, and gourmet treats. Particularly special is the “tasting” train that departs from Kraków early in the morning and returns in the evening, offering participants the chance to sample wines from the XI Polish Wine Competition and farm snacks. Upon arrival, guests are treated to Podkarpackie żurek, and the main square hosts around 40 wine stands, a regional products market, and various activities.

Winiarze i Przyjaciele (Wrocław, September 7-8)

Prepare your taste buds for an unforgettable journey into the world of Lower Silesian wines. During the first autumn weekend, all members of the Lower Silesian Wine Association gather in Wrocław. It’s the perfect opportunity to taste new releases, meet producers, discuss the past year, and discover what wines the future holds, including participating in guided tastings.

Winobranie (Zielona Góra, September 7-15)

It is one of Poland's largest and most renowned wine festivals. Winobranie celebrates the start of the grape harvest. Initially, there were no rules for the timing of harvests, but since the mid-19th century, the festival has been included in the city's event calendar. It lasts a week and features grand parades, concerts, and extensive tastings, with guests transported by a special bus to Lubusz vineyards. The ancient god of winemaking, played by a local actor, also receives the keys to the city gates from the mayor. This event is ideal for those wanting to delve deeper into the history of Polish wine.

Święto Młodego Wina (Sandomierz, November 16-17)

Every third weekend in November, the Market Square in Sandomierz is filled with crowds celebrating the Festival of Young Wine. The city becomes Poland’s wine capital for a few days, attracting wine enthusiasts eager to taste local young wines. Guests are invited to purchase a “Festival of Young Wine Passport,” which includes a special ticket, a tasting map, and a commemorative glass. This set allows you to sample wines from participating wineries at designated locations.
