The long-awaited opening of the new Museum of Modern Art took place at the end of October. The minimalist space showcases works by Polish and international artists that redefine sculpture, painting, and installation. More details here
Exhibition of Józef Chełmoński's Works (until January 25, 2025). At the National Museum in Warsaw, you can see the works of Józef Chełmoński — one of Poland's iconic artists. His depictions of nature, countryside, and scenes from rural life have been seen as the essence of “Polishness” for over a hundred years. Free Exhibition of World Fashion Houses at Archicom Collection Gallery (until January 11, 2025). Exhibition “Long Live the King” at the Royal Castle (until February 9, 2025). The Wawel Royal Castle hosts the "Long Live the King" exhibition, dedicated to the history of Polish monarchy. The capital of the Małopolska region also invites visitors to an exhibition showcasing the work of one of Poland’s most prominent fashion designers of the 21st century. Saint Martin's Croissant Festival on November 11. According to legend, on November 11, 1891, in Poznań on St. Martin's Day, parish priest Father Jan Lewicki called upon the faithful to help the poor. His sermon deeply moved a local confectioner who remembered a pagan tradition where a pastry shaped like a horn was offered to the gods. He convinced his boss to revive the tradition by baking croissants for those in need. Today, this local sweet treat is celebrated annually with a gastronomic event where many city bakeries come together to offer guests the famous pastry filled with nut filling. Jazztopad Festival (November 15-24). Jazztopad is one of the most anticipated jazz festivals in Poland. This year, concerts will take place in intimate settings, with musicians from around the world performing in cozy, apartment-style venues for a unique experience. More details here.
Young Wine Festival (November 15-17). Every third weekend in November, crowds gather in Sandomierz’s Market Square to enjoy the Young Wine Festival. For a few days, the city becomes Poland’s wine capital, where fans of wine gather to sample local young wines. Festival guests can purchase the “Young Wine Festival Passport,” which provides a ticket, a tasting map, and a commemorative glass. Film “A Real Pain,” Directed by Jesse Eisenberg (from November 8). The film «A Real Pain» directed by American actor and director Jesse Eisenberg, premieres in cinemas. It follows two Jewish brothers who travel to Poland to trace their family roots, only to discover a deeper understanding of the country’s cultural heritage and their own identity. The film, set against scenes of Warsaw and Lublin, is described by Eisenberg as “a love letter to Poland.”
